WWW Day PicHappy “WWW” Day!

Did you know that August 1st is pronounced to be National WWW Day? It is the day to commemorate the creation of the World Wide Web. This gives everyone the opportunity to celebrate the technological innovation of being able to put together information to share with the world. The WWW was originally designed by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, a British scientist at CERN in 1989 to meet the demand for automatic information-sharing between scientists in universities and institutes around the world. It quickly became the platform it is today after its public release in August, 1991.

 

 

There are endless ways to celebrate “WWW Day” – E-Mail, Surf the Internet, Watch a YouTube Video, Download a Movie, Read or Create a Blog, explore Social Media, or SHOP SHOP SHOP…the options are endless, the conveniences are fantastic!
